About the Artist: Alberto Giuliani
Born 1947 into a humble Italian family devastated soon after WWII, he discovered his artistic gift early in his childhood. People around him were astonished by his natural ability in drawing, painting and sculpting. Not having the opportunity to formally pursue an education in the arts he was not deterred by this but quite the opposite and in fact as a young man befriended many influential artists such as the Arte Povera's artists Pistoletto and Merz or Umberto Mastroianni but to name a few. These years of conceptual art saw him lose interest in traditional mediums and begin his quest for an artistic identity. The latter along with the responsibility of raising his two children pushed his art onto the back burner when it became a leisure activity up until his retirement when he was once again able to discover the art of painting. He currently lives in Brazil where he is avidly working on watercolours, oils and the concept of light of the surrounding lands which so delight his stylistic journey. *If you are interested in collecting his artworks, please contact us.
