It is one of the most versatile brush set for Sumi-e professionals. Made of 100% natural wolf hair, this stiff brush is designed to shade all kinds of wrinkles(or cun) of rocks, draw different tree branches and dot various leaves in landscape painting. This short bristle brush with a solid heel is easy control and makes the shift between a pointed or a split brush at your finger tips. It may also be used as good calligraphy brushes for writing different size characters calligraphy.

They come in three different sizes and you can order the whole set or separately:

S: 7/8" long, 1/4" diameter, handle 8-7/8"

M: 1" long, 5/16" diameter, Handle 9-1/4"

L: 1-1/8" long, 3/8" diameter, Handle 9-1/4" 

These brushes are handcrafted by Master Xu, Laosan. The handcarved inscriptions on the handle says "Large(Medium, or Small) Character/Landscape Brush"  and Master Xu's Name.
