The first part starts with an inspiring plein air fruit painting demo in front of a loquat tree in his backyard in Southern California. Then, Henry returns to the studio and did some still life painting with lemon, kabocha squash and eggplants.
1) Find a real fruit tree of any kind as your live model. If you cannot find any, use any pictures of your favorite fruit as reference. Try to paint a "cut-branch" composition wile looking at your reference tree.
2) Search the keyword Etegemi and ATCs(ACEOs) on google and find what is it and why it gets so popular in Japan and around the world.
3)Paint some etegami style fruits and veggies. Your practices could be traded with other classmates on a voluntary basis.
All finished paintings in this DVD are included the PDF handouts available for downloading after purchase.
