We heard your requests! This unique, handmade, double-ply mulberry paper is specially ordered with two layers of our mulberry paper #2s pressing together in 54gsm thickness. 

Mulberry #5 has got the same texture as our Mulberry #2 with visible veins but twice of the weight, which makes it stand for itself! No mounting or backing is necessary.

Made of mulberry tree inner bark. PH neutral and archival.

Suggested Usages:

Ideal for screen or lamp design, because of the heavy thickness it will let less light coming through and show less the inner frames, so to show your colorful artworks better.

For printing, double mulberry paper is  suitable for Giclee printer, silk screen printing, etching, and block printing.

Works well with most water-based art media including watercolors and fluid acrylics. Resists bleeding and shows color brilliantly, appropriate for landscapes, animals, plants and flowers, etc.

Perfect for Sumi-e or Chinese brush painting, and also good for Calligraphy, Mounting(as backing paper), Book Binding, Rubbing, Stamping, Kite, Lantern, Window Covering and Collage etc.
