Although I have been vegan for most of my life, (for ethical reasons, not about queasiness), I do have and use some Chinese fur brushes. I ordered these two synthetic brushes as an experiment, and I have to say that I love them, and they've come in handy many times. Regular Chinese brushes have different personalities than these ones, but the synthetic brushes are incredibly durable (even with harsher inks, like India ink), have an energetic spring, and are excellent for technical details. They are worthy additions to your quiver of brushes! (Sincere thank you to Henry Li, for your wonderful lessons and great quality products).

I ordered these out of sheer curiosity, as I do use regular (animal hair) brushes. These two brushes behave differently, being synthetic, but nevertheless hold their weight for painting and calligraphy. I love the bounce and feel of both. I had fun painting chrysanthemum petals with the 'bai yun' brush, with great results (I have been struggling with this stroke for a while!) The brown hair one works well for bamboo orchid strokes.
