This Confucius brand Xuan paper is an unsized "raw" rice paper, very absorbent and smearing.  Single-ply weight, in cotton white and soft texture, it is suitable for painting flower and birds, figures, animals and landscape painting. As a great practice paper, I recommend it for beginning students as well as professional who favor less expensive rice paper to work with.
